Campus Life

Campus life

Members of gamma Phi Beta are required to join an additional organization on campus during their new member semester. This is so our members can create strong connections within the A&M-Commerce community, and so our Sorority can show support to other organizations. We do our best to have sisters represented at all campus events. Below are a few quotes from sisters about what they have accomplished so far as Lions:

It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for the experience of running for homecoming queen. But the love and support that I received from my sisters was out of this world. And then when they finally called my name and all my sisters were jumping up-and-down cheering for me. I’ve never felt more loved in my entire life.
— Sister Hannah Clark, Homecoming Queen 2016

Being a part of the Lion Cheer team has impacted my life in so many ways. It has taught me how to work well with others. I have learned how to juggle a sport, be active in Gamma Phi Beta, have a full-time job, and be a high-performing student. It makes my life so much easier knowing that I have my loving sorority sisters backing me up and boosting me in everything I do. When I broke my ankle, they helped me get back into tumbling, as well as coming to watch some cheer practices, and cheering me on while getting ready for Nationals in Daytona.
— Sister Skylar Hill

My involvement on campus ranges from being a Resident Assistant, a Lion Ambassador, a member of the Orientation Team, and a Gamma Phi Beta. All of these things allow me to partake in multiple campus activities that help me make the most of my college experience. Whether it is giving a campus tour, helping a resident adapt to college life, or building strong girls with my fellow sisters, I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose and representing my university in the best way possible.
